MOD PIPE FOR COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEMS
Imagine a non-corrosive metal for a compressed air distribution line that offers a light weight, modular design. Now, add in high durability, simplicity, and an easy to install system. Finally, top it off with an affordable price. It may seem too good to be true, but that is exactly what Modular Solutions created with the revolutionary Mod Pipe System. Proclaimed for its modular design, Mod Pipe outperforms heavy Carbon Steel Pipe, without sacrificing the safety and quality that is typically associated with a plastic system. The compression style and Push-Fit design ensures a safe, leak-free system For compressed air, vacuum, and inert gas applications.
THE PIPE
The material utilized in the Mod Pipe System is Aluminum, which is corrosion resistant. This allows it to be 70% lighter than the traditional Carbon Steel Systems, without requiring any welding. Another benefit of Aluminum over Carbon Steel in a compressed air system is that there is no buildup of rust over time. This completely eliminates downstream issues for filters, cylinders, and tooling. Finally, The Mod Pipe System does not require any rust preventing lubrication, such as oil, which can cause equipment failure and unclean stations over time. The Mod Pipe is easily cleaned and still carries the Blue color to indicate that it is for airline purposes.
FITTINGS AND ASSEMBLY
Mod Pipe Systems offer two types of quick and easy connectors, a compression style or a push-to-connect style. These both require very little skill with no welding, gluing, or threading required to achieve professional grade installation. This design far surpasses the standard Carbon Steel assemblies, which can only be connected using threaded fittings or welding. Threaded connections require a thread sealant compound in order to prevent leakage. This process can be messy and almost impossible to remove. Similarly, welded connections are time consuming to install and removal involves heavy cutting tools that may not be readily available. The ease of fitting use and assembly that The Mod Pipe System offers allows it to stand head and shoulders about the Carbon Steel alternative.
TOOLS
The Mod Pipe System Tool Requirements are simple, small, and unencumbersum. All you will need are a pipe cutter, a chamfering tool, and a deburring tool. Collectively, these items are small enough to fit into a backpack and Mod Pipe will even supply them upon request. It doesn't get much simpler than that. Threaded Carbon Steel pipe systems require specialized equipment such as a pipe stand, a pipe vice, and a pipe threader. This equipment is large and heavy to move around. The welded systems are an entirely different story where required equipment is concerned.
APPLICATIONS
Typical Mod Pipe applications range from industrial plant air systems to a small air system for your garage or barn. The light design and easy to install features make it ideal for ceiling systems and multi-tool air supply lines. Mod Pipe even has a reduced pressure drop over its Carbon Steel Competitors. Not to mention that it is fire-resistant, UV-resistant, and has a good shock resistance value. The Mod Pipe system uses for personal, commercial, or industrial applications are limitless.
